Driftless Counseling uses the calm, authentic, and reassuring power of wilderness as a “co-therapist” in counseling sessions whenever possible.
Adventure Therapy follows and encourages a client’s interests, strengths, and development of skills. Swimming, paddling, carpentry, craft making, etc. Getting out of the office and off the couch helps us go where the client’s needs direct. If it matches your treatment goals, we will go there with you on your journey to recovery.
We do not offer “boot camp” programs or camps, but rather join with wilderness in individual and small group sessions. We have such a great resource here in our backyards. At Driftless Counseling we do what works, and being outside works. Quality time outdoors help clients manage ADHD, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
